WHAT WE DO
The Bay Area Lactation Associates (BALA) provides lactation education and professional networking for those who work with breastfeeding families. We are an affiliate of the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) and the United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA).

WHO WE ARE
Lactation Consultants, Doulas, Childbirth Educators, Dieticians, La Leche League Leaders, Nursing Mothers Counselors, Nurses, Physicians, WIC staff, Peer Counselors, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and anyone else who is interested in supporting breastfeeding families.

MEETINGS:  WHERE, WHEN AND AGENDA
Meetings are held five times a year at rotating locations around the Bay Area. There is an opportunity to network with other professionals, as well as an educational component at each meeting.
Typical Agenda: 
        10:00 - 10:30 Networking time, coffee
        10:30 - 11:30 Educational Component of meeting
        11:30 - 12 noon Business meeting
