Bay Area Lactation Associates is a non-profit educational association of professionals with a common interest in helping breastfeeding mothers.

WHAT WE DO
The Bay Area Lactation Associates (BALA) provides lactation education and networking for those who work with breastfeeding families. We are an affiliate of the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) and the United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA).
WHO WE ARE
Lactation Consultants, Doulas, Childbirth Educators, Dieticians, La Leche League Leaders, Nursing Mothers Counselors, Nurses, Physicians, WIC staff, Peer Counselors, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and anyone else who is interested in supporting breastfeeding families.
WHY JOIN BALA?
We provide breastfeeding advocates educational and networking opportunities. Benefits include meetings, an online discussion group, phone referral line, and listing in our directory. Members receive periodic emails about local events and job opportunities.
WHEN AND WHERE WE MEET
Meetings are held five times a year at rotating locations around the Bay Area. There is a speaker and an opportunity to network at each meeting.
